How Our Stoneware is Made
Ceramic making in Portugal started nearly 500 years ago and has been perfected over the centuries. We've refined these traditional processes to create a more efficient and sustainable way of production.

History of Portuguese Ceramics
It all started with ceramic tile work, known as "Azulejo" in Portuguese, which can be found on the walls and ceilings of churches, palaces, and other buildings around Portugal. These tiles serves as ornamental art and temperature control, becoming a symbolic detail of Portuguese architecture and chronicles major cultural aspects of Portuguese history.
Our Production Process
Our production process utilizes modern techniques while paying homage to the past - ensuring quality and precision in addition to artisanal expression and character. The mother mould and other important steps are done entirely by hand. We also focus on recycling waste and reducing the use of non biodegradable materials.
